Biography

Abel Lifschutz is a composer, orchestrator, and pianist currently based in Seattle. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theory and Composition degree from St. Olaf College and a Master of Music degree from the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program at the Seattle Film Institute. Abel composes music in a wide variety of styles and genres, from contemporary chamber music, to film and video game music, to ambient electronic music. As a performer, he has performed in a diverse range of contexts, including as a solo pianist, with bands and orchestras, and in eclectic chamber ensembles such as recorder ensembles and Baroque chamber orchestras. Currently, Abel is writing the soundtrack for the upcoming video game “Dawn Apart”, produced by Industrial Technology and Witchcraft, coming in 2024. He’s also working on an new album of soundscapes, as well as preparing for several upcoming performances in the Seattle area.
